Farr's School of Dancing – 17 – 19 Dalston Lane E8 3DF | 020 7923 4553
A once derelict building that housed a 1930s dance school, transformed in to a pub and general hang-out space at 17-19 Dalston Lane.
Inside, the stripped-back walls, uneven floorboards and vintage furnishings have become home from home to loyal patrons; cask ale drinkers, Swing Dancers and weekend partygoers.
The main floor is accompanied by a secret Social Club style basement bar, host to an array of popular events and perfect backdrop for many a private party, live music and weekend DJs.
Events are a main focus and in house events are free of charge.
On the last Sunday of the month we host an old favourite – Uptown Swing’s, ‘Rags to Riches’ which takes up every inch of our main bar.

Nanny Bill’s launched their first bricks and mortar residency at The Shop NW10 in Kensal Rise in early 2017 to rave reviews with bookings for weeks in advance and Londoners going bonkers for their new menu items.
Soon after Nanny Bills completed their residency at Last Days of Shoreditch, pulling in crowds all summer, and most recently a successful stint at Dalston bar Birthdays.
The menu will behold classic dishes with Nanny Bill’s magic touch, that cater for everyone.
Offering options for Vegans, Veggies and Meat eaters – everyone is welcome at Nanny Bill’s.
We are heavily driven by locally and regionally sourced beverages and strive to serve a superb selection of craft beer and real ale.

REVIEW: FARR'S SCHOOL OF DANCING - London On The Inside
food
Whilst Farrs may have opened last year the kitchen menu has only recently launched featuring everything from bread and stocks to charcuterie, pickles and mustards, all of which are made in-house.
The menu is split into snacks, small plates and large plates – it’s very on trend.
From the larger plates The Crab with new potatoes, sweet corn and old bay seasoning drew us in…one big ass boiled up crab with legs and claws a’hanging in a flavoursome broth.
That said once we’d cracked it the juicy crab meat was pretty tasty and so was that broth.
Word on the street is they are also planning to open a first floor restaurant and basement speakeasy bar too.
